BFBBMix is a work-in-progress mod of Battle for Bikini Bottom made by skyweiss with help from other members of the modding community. Its name is a portmanteau of "BFBB," the original game's abbreviation, and "remix."

Mod info

BFBBMix is a revisit to Battle for Bikini Bottom with new levels, objectives, and music. The terrain and various objects are constructed entirely of simple shapes, like cubes, cones, and cylinders, using Industrial Park to place them. Most other objects are imported from the original game.

On 6 September 2019, Jellyfish Fields was released, marking the first time BFBBMix was made playable.

  • On Xbox, a rare crash occurs when warping to any of the first three spatulas in Jellyfish Fields (about 1 in 50).

Installing

GameCube

I only want to play on a Dolphin dev version

What you'll need:

Steps:

  1. Create a unique folder to store BFBBMix in.
  2. In Dolphin, use the Paths config to add the directory of your Battle for Bikini Bottom ISO.
  3. In the Dolphin game list, right-click Battle for Bikini Bottom, click Properties, and click the Filesystem tab. Right-click Disc, click Extract Entire Disc, and choose your BFBBMix folder.
  4. Extract the "files" and "sys" folders of the BFBBMix zip file over the contents of your BFBBMix folder. This should replace some files.
  5. Go back to the Dolphin Paths config and add the "sys" subfolder of your BFBBMix folder.
