BFBBMix (stylized as BFBBMix!) is a work-in-progress mod of Battle for Bikini Bottom made by skyweiss with help from other members of the modding community. Its name is a portmanteau of "BFBB," the original game's abbreviation, and "remix."
Mod info
BFBBmix is a revisit to Battle for Bikini Bottom with new levels, objectives, and music. The terrain and various objects are constructed entirely of simple shapes, like cubes, cones, and cylinders, using Industrial Park to place them. Most other objects are imported from the original game.
On 6 September 2019, Jellyfish Fields was released, marking the first time BFBBmix was made playable.
A demo containing the completed first hub world featuring three worlds and a boss fight is planned to release by the end of 2019. The release date for the full game is to be determined.

Known issues
- Quitting and exiting to the title screen can occasionally freeze on loading. The most common reason for this is quitting while cinematic bars are on screen, so currently the only solution is to wait until the bars are off-screen before quitting.
Installing
Gamecube
Installing for Dolphin
- Download the latest development version of Dolphin (not the latest stable version).
- Obtain a copy of Battle for Bikini Bottom as an ISO file.
- Download the latest release of BFBBmix.
- Add Battle for Bikini Bottom to Dolphin's game list using the Paths config. Right-click Battle for Bikini Bottom, click Properties, and click the Filesystem tab. Right-click Disc, click Extract Entire Disc, and pick a folder to store BFBBmix in.
- Inside this folder, extract the BFBBmix zip file. This should replace some files within both the "files" and "sys" folders.
- Go back to the Dolphin Paths config and click Add. Locate your BFBBmix folder, open "sys" and click Select Folder.
- BFBBmix should now show up in the Dolphin game list with a pink banner.
Making an ISO (to play on Nintendont, Dolphin, etc.)
- Download GameCube Rebuilder.
- Obtain a copy of Battle for Bikini Bottom as an ISO file.
- Download the latest release of BFBBmix.
- Open GameCube Rebuilder. Click Image, then Open. Open Battle for Bikini Bottom.
- Right-click "root" and click Export. Pick a folder to store BFBBmix in, and click OK. Click Image, then Close.
- Open the BFBBmix zip file in an archive viewer such as 7-Zip or WinRAR. Open the "files" folder, then extract those files and folders over the ones in the folder you picked earlier. This should replace some files.
- In GameCube Rebuilder, click Root, then Open. Open the folder you picked earlier. Then click Root, then Save, and pick a place to save your BFBBmix ISO.
- You can now play the ISO file on whichever GameCube platform you would like.
